THE CUSTOMER

Client is a national online food ordering technology company which helps customers find and order food from any location.

THE CHALLENGE

DIN was contracted to lead an onsite team to facilitate a 3-day deinstallation of several parts of our high-profile clients it network infrastructure and cabling from one floor to be reinstalled in their new offices on a higher floor.

The scope of work included multiple installs of rack hardware, PSU, SFPs, expansion modules, switches and firewalls. Since this project included the installation of new equipment, coordination with their engineering support team was critical as we moved through the phases of work.

Our client emphasized a detailed scope and sequence of work that had to be followed without deviation.

THE SOLUTION

DIN provided onsite leadership starting from day 1 with a morning debrief and scope of work review with all stakeholders. We began by confirming inventory, verifying serial numbers and cataloging pictures of equipment consisting of various cable types, fiber, copper, OpenGear and Cisco switches, Aruba WAPs.

Our team provided pictures and updates throughout entire project to ensure primary and backup systems where online, responsive, and consistent. The deinstallation process was specific and corresponded to install time frames for new equipment along with planned schedule availability of certain key engineering support staff. Considerable patch cabling was performed to get new switches connected and tested.

Finally, we completed testing out procedures which included several standard equipment resets and adjustments.

THE RESULT

The customer viewed DIN's participation on this order as a complete success. Required equipment was brought online with minimal delays or setbacks. The test out was successful for all system core and edge devices.

Requested MDF areas were left clean and our client
received all documentation and pictures during and at the close of the project. Reports were properly formatted and emailed to all required team members.

Additionally, all work was completed on-schedule and within budget.
